I am going to give the same advice as the guy above you. Dont sign in. I tried it first with signing in and it froze but not signing in and it loads up.

Try not signing into PSN. then boot up game

I thought I was lucky but got it by hit today. Not signing into PSN helps though I bought GTA for online too.

Ive pinned the problem to not signing into PSN...wtf?

just got about 8 hours in turned on media server and the freezing game begins...

Was just about to hop on and play some of my friends and could not connect to provider....sigh* anyways back to killing people. LOVE THIS GAME!!!

I just got it and played through a couple of races and wow. Its good, rumble feels great (first time feeling it on DS3) Graphics are amazing on my crappy sd 24 inch tv and the backgrounds are amazing. Spent about 30 mins just looking at the cars.
