Mar 17th 2009 2:00PM (Engadget)The way I'd fix this economy is to abolish money, and just give people what they need. Everyone working for the betterment of our neighbors (but not in a communist kind of way, instead a perfect society where people just do things for people because it feels nice).
never happen, but utopia would be nice.

Apr 13th 2008 3:27PM (Joystiq Playstation)I am honestly not interested in a single other game that came out last year. Except maybe Crush - but puzzle games rarely sell well so I am not surprised it's not on the list either.
To those of you blaming piracy, the corporations have got you believing what they want you to. Piracy is never the main culprit behind lack of purchases. To figure this out, how many people do you know that own PSP's? How many of them have Custom Firmware? How many games do they own? If they own none, ask them if they would have bought the PSP in the first place. Guarantee they will all say no.
For those that use Custom Firmware to play homebrew, they still buy games (I know one guy that doesn't own a single PSP game, doesn't pirate any either....he just got the PSP to be a portable emulation device, granted the games he's emulating I'm sure some he doesn't own).
Basically, all I'm saying is that a Pirate is a pirate, and the inability to do so won't magically make pirates say "hey, I guess I'll just buy games". Instead they'll pirate elsewhere.
DS piracy is retardedly easy too -- just costs money beyond the cost of the unit unlike the PSP which costs you some nervous moments, but DS exclusives are on the list (there's a lot more DS's too). And just like the PSP, those that use it for homebrew still buy their DS games.
Joystiq hands-on: Myst (DS)
Apr 7th 2008 7:22AM (Joystiq)This game will at least look better on the PSP -- so if I want a portable version I'll wait for that one. They really should have just gone with the highest quality still images on the DS and forgot about the animation -- the DS's strong point is not in 3D....even the best 3D games on it leave something to be desired. Certainly not up to par with what Myst would require.
Funny that this is announced though, I just installed Myst, Riven and Myst III on my laptop a couple days ago with the intent of playing through each.
