Mine gets hotter when playing games/watching movies, but nothing to THAT extent or to the point where it's painful to hold. Ouch.

Would I see any improvement in sound quality with a sound card if I use headphones instead of 5:1 or 7:1 speakers? I have a pair of Sennheiser HD-280s , which seem great as they are right now, and am using onboard audio.
