L337Lauren tops other gals on road to Miss Video Game crown

Nov 12th 2007 11:47AM (Joystiq)
She looks like a mannequin. Or a tanooki. Anyway, I thought this was revealed to be a scam a year or so ago. Like, not a legit gaming competition but a way to get application money or advertising revenue from gawking males or something.

I find Barbie Horse Adventures to be a superior title in all respects.

it's a good game, up to 50... but the endgame kinda sucks. up to 50 is like Super WoW, but the endgame is like watered down WoW :(

So sad they got so far and had to call it quits. Looks like it had potential to really keep the spirit of the game alive.

GTA IV briefing in Game Informer, multiplayer and more

ugh, no planes ftl :( I loved the GTA games, but the only aspect that gave them any kind of replayability to me was the planes. I still turn on SA to run a million vigilante missions in my attack heli or go cruising around in my dogfighter... no desire to do anything but fly in the endgame...

Lord of the Rings Online free until April 24

#35 has the best review so far imo =p I just started playing this weekend, also with my wife. We gave up WoW last month because it just wasn't doing it for us anymore. The game 'borrows' enough of the best parts of WoW to make the transition easier, while improving on it enough to keep it new and refreshing. Everything about it feels more adult and more subtle. As a lore-master, you won't be launching huge fireballs at enemies, but you'll be subtly commanding the laws of nature instead. And every class has multiple roles, so that I can imagine in the endgame, even the healers will be doing some of the attacking and even the attackers will be doing some of the buffing, etc. And as for pvp - well, when people actually get to the higher levels after release, the pvp in this game could be the most interesting of any game this generation. A level 10 player can enter monster play as a level 50 monster, so even a newbie can create a giant spider and start munching on high-level hobbits. And there is monster advancement too. you can't equip your monster, but you can upgrade its stats and skills and appearance. I've rambled on enough, no one's even going to look at this old article =p
