Through iAds, Apple us now an advertising company. To get top dollar for the placement of ads, they need as many eyes as they can promise.

Since iOS4 includes iAds, Apple will give it away for free so they can tell companies that every iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad user will be seeing the ads they buy.
