@Wiggy Fuzz I think the 14 is significant because it is two weeks.

Ask Engadget: best note-taking tablet / laptop for under $200?

@kio
My issue is not with taking notes with paper and pen, it is more with the keeping it organised afterwards. I just thought that it might be easier with digital notes

That said, I like your digital pen idea.

@cryptkeeper Endgadget didn't print all of my email, I do maths, so I have the exact same problem as you with keyboards. I think it should be possible on my budget, it won't be my main computer, so it doesn't need to be fast or anything.

@Twirrim It's really not an absurd question. Lots of people have had helpful suggestions.

@Epyon I was looking at the TC1100 before sending in the question. It does look really good. What is the battery life like? Also, how well does Xp run on it? Have you tried 7? Thanks.

@sigma8 Yeah, Engadget didn't print all of my email. I am doing maths at uni, so I do really need a tablet, keyboard isn't going to cut it because I can't use Latex that fast. Otherwise, an iPod touch would have been perfect.

@whateverisleftover

Thanks, this was the kind of thing I was looking for, I am looking at the Fujitsu's now.

What is linux support for tablets like? I am not expecting a £150 computer to be especially fast, so I was thinking about Ubuntu.

@aamp Thanks, that was the kind of thing I was looking for. The 1610 looks good, but what is the resistive screen like? Does resting your palm on the screen cause any problems?

I was looking at the TC1100 before asking engadget, they seem to go for about £100 on ebay, but the Toshiba's seem good too.
