Hands-on: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 single-player

Jan 25th 2010 11:37AM (Joystiq)
This is my most anticipated game of the year, and that is saying a lot considering what games are releasing this year such as Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, Halo Reach, Medal of Honor and numerous others.

I already have it preordered for my Xbox, and also for my PC, so I can get in on that Beta!

See you on the battlefield!

Reminder: Tune in for Joystiq's VGA liveblog tonight at 8 EST

How has anyone not mentioned the trailer for the new Medal of Honor? I am looking forward to that and the Halo Reach trailer the most. The rest I could care less about....unless that Star Wars game by some miracle is Battlefront 3...I would shit bricks...

Swag Saturday: Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers for all those holiday games

Nov 15th 2009 6:28AM (Joystiq)
One christmas my step brother got Guitar Hero World Tour, and thwe whole family took turns playing. It was funny seeing my dad and stepmom play, two people who I had never even seen touch a game controller. I admit it brought a tear to my eye...

Teens say email is like, so, last week

Jul 21st 2007 10:03PM (Download Squad)
I'm 19, and just started this whole "social networking" thing last September with Facebook. I never have had a Myspace account, and never plan on getting one. I do not have the patience to deal with all of those whiny middle schoolers, highs schooler and sexual predators that Myspace seems to be plagued with, and would prefer only talk to to my old high school buddies and college friends.

As for e-mail, I will admit I rarely ever checked it while in middle school and high school, but once I started college, it was essential to check it at least once (more like 5 times a day for me) to be able to keep track of what is going on. E-mail became essential to keep in touch with my professors, receive/turn in homework assignments, and getting an overall awareness of what is going on around campus.

What I am trying to say is, e-mail may be on the decline for teenagers, but once they get into college, they will see the true use of it and learn how essential it really is. And ditto on what some above posters have stated, that once in a profession, e-mail becomes a staple that one cannot live without. I cannot see e-mail subscribers declining any time soon because of these reasons, and teenagers just need to mature enough and get out in the real world to fully understand the importance of e-mailing.

Hahaha! I actually liked it! It made me more interested in this game now! I want to see more of these, but from each character!

Draw Play - Today' time waster

I somehow got past the level with the 3 moving circles my first try. I just about freaked when I realized you can just levitate your player by lifting the ground under him. It just became too easy after that. It is a good game but isn't fun anymore once it becomes easy.

Metareview: Diddy Kong Racing (update 1)

Feb 7th 2007 12:10AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Well...since I've beaten the shit out of MKDS, and loved DKR on the N64, it looks to be a must-buy for me!

I still wish they would have left the stupid touch screen and blowing into the microphone parts out, but I guess I will just have to deal with it.

I do like that it has a story however, something I've always missed in Mario Kart games...

@12
What's so weird about making money for Rare? Microsoft sees an opportunity to make some cash, even if they are supporting the DS. I mean, not like Microsoft is competing in the portable wars, where is their portable console?

Anyways, I loved DKR for the N64! It was my favorite game besides Goldeneye. After playing DKR I could never even play Mario Kart ever again, until the DS version of course! I highly welcome this game even if it is only a port! DKR FTW!
