The only real usage I can see for Imp. Charge and it's Ravage component in current raiding would be blobs on PP, and maybe adds on Valithiria (especially Blazing Skeletons). The minimum distance is, as you say, a problem. We'll have to see what encounters are like in Cataclysm, though.
Other than that, I can see it being really good for burst in PVP, although I dread all the whining that cats are OP when we proceed to insta-gib warlocks.
1. Pay a random Shaman to spec into Reverberation. 2. Have shaman do nothing but spam Wind Shear. Also, bring a rogue and a prot warrior to nothing but spam their interrupts too. 3. ???? 4. Profit.
"[]..it would be really bad to druid tank utility to pull crit immunity out of Savage Defense and into a specific form. It would make brez tanking an even riskier proposition."
I'm sorry, what? Crit immunity is tied to a specific form. Bear form. As long as you have 3/3 Survival of the Fittest, that is. If you're not in bear form, you're not crit immune. If you're not spec'ed into SotF, you can't be crit immune as a Druid, not even in Bear (unless you go out of your way to gem for defense). Shifting out to caster form makes you squishy, even in a Bear spec.
And Savage Defense is the Bear equivalent of block.
"Gushing Wound (Level 83): This ability will apply a bleed effect to the target. If the target moves, the bleed gains an extra stack and refreshes its duration, up to a maximum of three stacks. The ability is currently planned to have no cooldown, cost 10 Rage, and have a 9-second duration. Gushing Wound is designed to be weaker than Rend with one stack, but better with three stacks, which will be reached when fighting a moving target."
This is what the hubbub is about. Skilled warriors (those who are able to continue their rotation to full effect while on the move) will probaly be able to utilise this new ability in a PVE environment. That is, they'll be pestering tanks to move the boss back and forth so that the ability will stack to full, thereby utilising their full DPS potential.
