Are you in the WarHawk Beta? We need your help!

My only concern is that the beta players are restricted under an NDA. I'll check and see what the limitations of that might be. It may just be media. (video, screenshots)

Hour of Victory coming June 22, demo next week

Another WW2 shooter. I haven't seen one of those in a few weeks!

If you're using a Mac, then I would recommend TwonkyVision. You can try the trial for 30 days and see if it works. Full version is 40 USD. For reference to other users, it works for Windows XP, Mac and Linux.

Go update Windows Media Player to version 11. From there you can go to settings and turn on Media Share. If you have your PS3 on, and are updated to 1.8. You'll likely see an "unknown device" pop up on a list of devices to share media to. Compare the MAC address if you see more than one device, then you can authorize the PS3. Make sure to apply the settings. I restarted my PS3, and ta-dah. Full access to my library of music and media.

I've set up WMP11 and can now officially stream media to my PS3. Works perfect, no stutters in any MP3s, and I was able to happily display Monorail cat in a nice resolution on my 32" High Def. I love it.

No FFXIII until after March 2008, says Yoichi Wada

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Little Big Planet, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk for example. They're all entirely different genres. And seeing how a good attempt hasn't been made at either style yet on any next-gen system, you could qualify any of them as a hard hitting title.

I didn't expect FF13 in 2007. Based off how big of an endeavor it's expected to be, 2008 was always the more likely assumption. In addition, who cares what Gamestop has set for MSG4's release date? There's no release date until the developer / publisher has announced one. If you choose to go off retailers, then prepare to be disappointed.

Haze coming 2007 for PS3, may only be timed exclusive

May 23rd 2007 3:43PM (Joystiq)
No matter how it goes, it will play out well for Sony. A timed exclusive starting Fall, will play out very well during the Christmas period. I feel like Sony is building their hand, and getting ready to play their cards for the holiday season. Plus, it's nice to know that the game was developed for the PS3, and the developer's kind words for the system bode well for the PS3.

PSP getting VoIP'ed in UK

One more thing. Probably the biggest obstacle would be battery life and weight. A PSP phone would be terrible if the PSP wasn't able to run in a very reduced power mode while being actively used. The idea of a phone that is only powered for 12-16 hours sounds terrible.

P.S. Doesn't the guy in the picture look like Julian Casablance from The Strokes?

PSP getting VoIP'ed in UK

I'm cautiously optimistic about the PSP gaining phone capabilities. Past history shows that phones turning into other devices have been strewn with issues. Perhaps a real gaming device turning into a phone will have different results.

Regardless, I'm still excited about the possibility of the following:

1. Realization of PSP Remote Play (See: PS3 1.8 notes)
2. PSP (slim?) redesign.
3. Phone capabilities giving Remote Play access anywhere.

The major impedances are plenty. And this is likely a pipe dream, but to me, this seems like it would be an awesome way of unifying their devices. I'm sure this idea has come up at Sony, given our lovable Kutagari's talks of a PSP phone in the past. Who knows if it's a reasonable, or even a practical idea from a market stand point.
