Jun 5th 2009 1:32AM (Joystiq)I need a new PSP (my 1000 is close to dead), and I was hoping to get the Go, but at this point my 8gb stick is more than enough, so I see no point in spending an extra $100 for a system that is slightly smaller and...nothing else.
Plus, I think it's annoying they didn't include touch screen controls, that means you have to slide open the thing every time you want to switch music or movie albums. Unnecessary. I would have paid $300 if it had a touch screen.
Again, I'm hoping Sony has some very good unannounced features on the Go, if not it looks like I'll be getting a 3000.
Rumor: 1UP reveals details of next PSP, called 'PSP Go!'
Apr 29th 2009 11:54AM (Joystiq)Just a couple thoughts:
These rumors keep saying no touchscreen. But if the system is a slider as the rumors keep saying how will users navigate the XMB without sliding out the d-pad. Seems like a mistake to me. A touchscreen would make this a much more usable media player.
The rumors also keep saying it won't have a second analog nub because they don't want to alianate old PSP users. Why would it have to? When the DualShock first came out for PSone there were a lot of new games that supported both control schemes. Why can't they do that now with new games?
Neither of these is a deal breaker for me though, which is probably what they are counting on.
