LittleBigPlanet PSP loses multiplayer, and maybe its soul

Aug 19th 2009 5:00PM (Joystiq)
I'm with you Chris. LBP is the one game that me, my son and my daughter all play together. I was going to use this as an excuse to get two new PSP's for the family. Oh well, so much for that idea. I still think I'll have a lot of fun playing it though, and it will be a little easier on the budget!

PSP Go and buy all-new accessories

Jun 7th 2009 12:07AM (Joystiq)
Anyone notice that there is no remote in that list of accessories. One of my frustrations about the lack of a touch screen is that you can't access the xmb with the slider closed to change music or movie tracks, fast forward etc. They better have a bluetooth remote or something in the works, having to open the slider everytime you want to skip a track or scene makes this a sub-par multimedia device.

Hands-on: Flippin' out the PSP Go

Jun 5th 2009 1:32AM (Joystiq)
*sigh* Probably not, but I'll wait to see if they release any information about new features like maybe the ability to use it as a PS3 controller since it has bluetooth.

I need a new PSP (my 1000 is close to dead), and I was hoping to get the Go, but at this point my 8gb stick is more than enough, so I see no point in spending an extra $100 for a system that is slightly smaller and...nothing else.

Plus, I think it's annoying they didn't include touch screen controls, that means you have to slide open the thing every time you want to switch music or movie albums. Unnecessary. I would have paid $300 if it had a touch screen.

Again, I'm hoping Sony has some very good unannounced features on the Go, if not it looks like I'll be getting a 3000.

Rumor: 1UP reveals details of next PSP, called 'PSP Go!'

Apr 29th 2009 11:54AM (Joystiq)
I'm psyched about this, and will buy one release week, and pass my old PSP onto my son.

Just a couple thoughts:

These rumors keep saying no touchscreen. But if the system is a slider as the rumors keep saying how will users navigate the XMB without sliding out the d-pad. Seems like a mistake to me. A touchscreen would make this a much more usable media player.

The rumors also keep saying it won't have a second analog nub because they don't want to alianate old PSP users. Why would it have to? When the DualShock first came out for PSone there were a lot of new games that supported both control schemes. Why can't they do that now with new games?

Neither of these is a deal breaker for me though, which is probably what they are counting on.

Sony's Maguire: UMD 'wasn't brilliant' for third parties

Bring on the UMD-less PSP sony. I'm ready to buy it first day and pass on my PSP Phat to my son.

Sony looking to make PSP PSN more like Virtual Console

Mar 3rd 2009 7:16PM (Joystiq)
I use remote play for videos and sometimes music. For games the lag is just too bad, I've tried it a handful of times, but unless it's Bejewled where you don't care about timing, it just doesn't work.
Maybe on the PSP-4000/PSP2...whatever it will be.

MotorStorm Arctic Edge races onto PS2, PSP

Feb 24th 2009 1:31PM (Joystiq)
I take back my comment from last week about feeling forgotten as a PSP fan. It's a good thing I'm getting a new job soon.
