Mar 10th 2006 9:21AM (Joystiq)There are plenty of good reasons Nintendo doesn't give up making hardware. The fact that the DS is the fastest selling console ever might be one of them. The fact that the Revolution will capture a market not targetted by Sony and Microsoft is another.
There's no reason why software has to be tied to hardware, but there's also no logical reason why Nintendo should give up making hardware. It makes money.
