Yes. Tron 2.0 was fantastic! Great shooter with actual role-playing elements where you could develop your character's abilities and customize weapons. I actually still play it every now and then and even have the action figures from the game (http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/usacomicbooks_2039_59931516).
I hope the new game uses ideas and game mechanics from 2.0. That game truly felt like the sequel to the movie.
Wow! How did you remember about clicking the logo playing a little tune? I can totally remember that now - confirmed.
I personally remember saving every dollar I got all summer so I could buy this for my 800XL. It was one of those gadgets that I had absolutely no need for but I just remember thinking how cool it would be to interface with the computer that way. (This was before I had ever touched a mouse.)
I also just wanted more peripherals to match my awesome computer. I still think all peripherals should be beige and brown with a stainless steel band rockin the brand and model.
It looks like the logo may be illuminated like the control buttons along the perimeter and therefore may only be illuminated during menu operations. My guess is that it is normally off during evryday photo-frame duties.
This article makes it clear that the ATSC content will be integrated into the guide but doesn't clarify whether or not this content will be recordable with the DVR.
I would assume that since it attaches to a DVR then you can record what it receives but I guess that isn't necessarily so. Also, if it does give you the ability to record, would this mean I can record 2 ATSC broadcasts AND 2 DTV broadcasts simultaneously?
@Devil's Advocate - Agreed with your comments. Unfortunately in this age of Internet blogs, it is not necessary for the poster to state their age and education level. Many posts are by 15 year-olds that work at McDonald's.
There are plenty of people in America that have no problem at all dropping a couple hundred dollars to have an expert, backed up by a nationwide corporation and warranty, make their computer problems go away. However, when you only make $75 a week at McDonald's, $200 seems like a lot of money.
BTW, Best Buy is still operating Geek Squad at a net loss with its current pricing.
True. Microsoft doesn't even give a choice at retail since you can't walk into a store anymore and buy a copy of XP instead of Vista. Regardless, I'd like to see a retail sales to retail sales comparison of XP to Vista as retail sales, to me, indicate how many people really "want" the software bad enough to go buy it. I'd bet that XP sales were significantly higher than Vista even given that it was 5 years ago.
