Jenny McCarthy has been gaming longer than you

Apr 15th 2009 10:38AM (Joystiq)
I care what Jenny and Jim have to say about medicine almost as much as I care what Eddie Vedder and the Dixie Chicks have to say about politics. It's great that after all these years, Jim is still doing the ol "talking out his ass" routine on Larry King.

Critical thinking FTW.

Oh I'm no doctor, nor do I have children (or even like them), but I don't need a PHD to figure out that if ONE in a MILLION vaccinations has negative impacts....then you really should play the numbers and go with the vaccinations. Duh.

And she didn't "cure" her kid's autism by adjusting his damn diet either. She says he doesn't exhibit the signs of autism because he can't get into the special needs classes in his school anymore. That's pretty far from claiming a cure based on diet and "mommy instinct" that she can't seem to shut up about. "Mommy Instinct"....is that the technical term or is that another load of crap that she just made up to spout on Oprah? Hmmmm. Maybe it takes a PHD to figure that one out too...

She hasn't been gaming longer than most of us, but she HAS killed more children than most of us! She's racking up a body count and I'm not talking about the COD kind.

Thanks for bringing back the measles, Bitch. You were much funnier when you were picking your nose on MTV back before you started offing children with your fake autism "cures". I'm sorry Jim C has to put up with this crap. Maybe that's why he hasn't made a decent movie since Truman.

D&D co-creator Dave Arneson dead at 61

Apr 9th 2009 1:28PM (Joystiq)
What a great guy he was. D&D, whether you play, never played or thinking about trying it, is a gaming experience like none other. Nothing beats real face-to-face interaction with friends and flexing your imagination to create something unique and special in the context of an old school RPG.

RIP and thanks for all the fun!

Dom's wife getting pwned...a real tear jerker.

MGS4 print reviewers asked to not disclose install time, cut scene length, reports MTV

May 30th 2008 3:46PM (Joystiq)
I have no problems bashing MGS games. Why? Because they suck. Japs bore you to death with games filled with over dramatized anime mumbo jumbo mixed with military ops and commando style story hooks. "Fighting for honor" and "Dying for Justice" blah blah blah...give it a rest already. There's nothing interesting about useless dialog that goes round and round in circles and doesn't contribute a single bit to the story. Throw in a couple pre-teens with fully developed boobs in school girl outfits and you might have a winner. Otherwise you're just watching hours of cut-scenes overflowing with trans-gendered army guys who look like women and talk like they're in a Godzilla movie.

Rumor: Microsoft's 'Lips' is an Xbox accessory

Maybe its a new saxophone attachment for Rock Band!

UT3 Xbox 360 exclusive content confirmed

Apr 18th 2008 1:54PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Single player (at least on the PC version) is basically just a series of bot matches - It showcases all the maps, vehicles and game modes. The matches are loosely strung together with half-assed narration made to appear as though a story is playing out.

UT3 Xbox 360 exclusive content confirmed

Apr 18th 2008 1:11PM (Joystiq Xbox)
No mods - no purchase for me. Mods and user created content is the ONLY thing that puts this FPS over the billions of others to choose from on 360.

It sure is fun on PC though...

Afro Samurai hip-hops onto 360, PS3 this Fall

Apr 17th 2008 1:25PM (Joystiq)
The hip-hop is kinda the whole point of the show and the reason why it was so successful. It's an original blend of samurai anime and hip-hop music and style. You might say its similair to Samurai Chimpolo (although focusing less on the hip-hop and more on the classic samurai fiction architecture) Sorta like the way they fused sci-fi space and spaghetti westerns in Cowboy Bebop.

If you can dig that...
