While I understand that hot/cold streaks and injuries are not possible - aren't there trades in the offseason?

And are you sure this doesn't just run 1 yr from the date of purchase? If it's a "subscription", that would make sense no?

You have to expect new vehicles at some point. There are flame tanks in SP, COD3 had jeeps and bikes, etc.

Frankly, I was surprised that the MP started with only tanks. I personally hope they release that part as free DLC/required update so they can have them on existing maps instead of just on newly released maps.

The "under the map" glitches are just absolutely ridiculous and ruin the game. There are now at least a third of the maps you can get under.

They fixed the Roundhouse glitch in the MP beta pretty early on - I can only hope they address these soon.

That said, I kind of think Treyarch has always been better about releasing content and updates than IW. IW does a better initial job, but they are SOOO slow to push out updates and new content.

I mean, we're still waiting for new modes that were promised in JUNE! And that didn't even require a patch or update - it was amode that is already possible. We even clamored for public unranked playlists, so people could run these games themselves but no luck.

Thanks for the mention. I was not suggesting that the choice was between not raising money/living off revenues or raising money. Assuming you're already raising money, the question is what does raising "as much as you can get" - let's say, $50m - give you over a more modest $5-10m?

How would you deploy that money that fast? Could you find enough good talent? Would you focus on acquisitions?

It's a shame the game itself isn't as good as these adverts :) I was on the beta and I have to be honest I just didn't find it at all interesting. COD4 ruined it all for me - as much as I try, no other game can hold my interest compared to COD4. Something new comes out, but, still, not as good :)

I wonder if they they have something in store for COD4 - I would love to see what they rip on it for :)

There's no patent here. Logos are protected by trademark, not patent.

COD4 beta since it's the last hurrah... Against my better judgment, I picked up Halo 3 last night in the midst of all the hype. I know this is blasphemous, but I don't really care for it all that much. I played the original Halo and Halo 2 on original XBOX but only a handful of games online.

Maybe it'll take some getting used to, but I really don't see what the hype is.

Not to nitpick, but fourzerotwo is not a "lowly developer". I can't find his official title right now, but he's something like community evangelist, etc.

Though I love the competition driving EA to be better, I was never a fan of the 2K gameplay back to the 2k5. There were interesting elements, but just never did it for me.

And judging from the screenshots I've seen, the graphics are absolutely terrible.
