I might have noticed this campaign, but Adobe did the ads in Flash and I have ClickToFlash installed, so I just get a nice blank, no bandwidth wasted, placeholder :)
Actually it would more likely be simpler than that, just a fibre optic bundle and a copper wire, so power + 'data' where the use of the data is determined by headers in the data itself. So Network, video, peripheral etc. data is all able to be sent across the same cable at the same time. So while there might be more than 1 pin for data, there wouldn't be pins for specific types of data.
I've just got my 730 (In the UK stockists have the 710 and 730 at the moment) and it's rather good. For iPhone devs it's big enough to give the iPhone simulator its own screen (being able to be rotated helps here too) and its refresh is fast enough for the simulator as well as being able to play video from iTunes.
I'm running mine as a 3rd screen on an MacBook 2.4Ghz (white). Very impressed so far. I've got a pic up here..
It actually benefits us both a lot. Apart from a bigger publicity presence that a larger publisher can provide, Freeverse also help us with testing, sourcing contracts and generally enabling our 2 man team to do a lot more than we'd normally be able to do on our own. In return, they get our English witticisms that mostly confuse them and an agile developer that can do all the crazy stuff :)
Play.com are listing a WiiJog in their Wii accessories at the moment with a pre-order date. I'm assuming it's a a Wii version of the Nike+ gadget for the iPod.
Without playing it how's he going to perfect that "I haven't had a poo for weeks" look that the writer/designer/face personality managed to get in the first game?
The Boblbee armoured backpacks are great. Completely waterproof and very very tough.
Unfortunately since they changed the cabin luggage size requirements, they're usually a bit big for cabin luggage but they're perfect for carrying a laptop (I used to use mine for my 17" Powerbook), camera gear and other gadgets. Very handy when it's raining ;)
