1) the alienware 18 htpc is good, but i don't like the built in amplifier. wish they'd offer a model with good graphics instead

2) HP have some really good htpc in that price range.

3) Newegg.com has some really good deals of packages (DIY!) to check out. I looked at one the other day ($2800) that came with a Samsung TV.

This xmas i'm building my own HTPC. HD/Blue Ray combo drive, capable of gaming, good recorder, adequate storage (i am using a HP home server), Vista 64.

Looking for a HDMI card to combine my sound & graphics into 1 HDMI output.

the ability to delete tracks from the zune itself would be nice...

if they'd offer a model without the built in amplifier and with graphics that are usually associated with "alienware" hardware, i'd buy one today.

most of us audiophiles already own an amplifier. i just need a machine HTPC with HDMI outputs...

733mhz, 30gb ram ABS pc. i took out a loan 7 years ago to buy it because it scored the highest on computer shopper's review using half life as a benchmark. people laugh at me...

if they redo any maps from halo 2, i wouldn't be upset if they didn't change them. some of them are classic & i'd pay to play them as is (with better graphics...)

If I wanna drop a mp3 on it, it should play it. If I want to keep some Word files on it at home, open them up at school, it should do that.

Allow more file formats to play. Encourage app development.

No DRM. at all. My computer allows me to play these files, so should my Zune.

seems like this along with a windows home server may be on my xmas wish list.

favorite scene: probally first initial charge. haven't seen but once (in theater), hoping to grab it this weekend...

i would have thought that extra layer of clothing would have worked. maybe even a blanket or sleeping bag, but the 360 truly is the best way to survive barely freezing temperatures in the high 30's.
