Exactly. People complain about contract lengths like they change carriers every 6 months. I've been with Rogers wireless for over 10 years now. So while I would rather not have a 3 year contract, it's really not a big deal. And if I need to get out, the cancellation fee maxes out at $400.

Try a webcam, _speakers_ (missing from Engadget description), and LED backlight.

And the lack of analog inputs is often beneficial to a monitor. Supporting them can negatively impact the performance of the panel (even on a digital connection). And no, that's not b.s.

Don't get me wrong—the Dell is still really good value. I'm working on a Dell Ultrasharp right now. But credit where credit is due.

@mixit Server-class Dell workstations aren't exactly cheap either. We bought some last month for over $2K each—and they were pretty basic quad cores.

Too bad we don't have that here. I just dropped mine off for its service interval this morning.

Not that I don't trust my stealership—I totally do. Great people, super nice and they wash and clean your car by hand for even the smallest service.

But it would be fun to see that work being done (at least for me).
