Child of Eden is $10 at Best Buy, and you'd best buy it [update: sold out!]

Sep 2nd 2011 1:28PM (Joystiq)
I ordered this as soon as I saw it. I always wanted to get COE, but never pulled the trigger. With this price, I had no excuse. I can't wait to pick it up.

Sonic Generations demo out now, gone in 20 days; iOS App out in Japan

I think they're close too, but I'm not sure if it's the jumping thats off, or the fact that the camera zooms in and out. I think he might be jumping the same height, but with the camera zoomed out, it doesn't feel like it.

@blkhatpersian I felt the same way. I hate to say it, but I kinda think they need to use depth of field or something.

Another thing that may help, is keeping the camera zoomed in at the same distance throughout the game. It seemd harder to track Sonic when it was too zoomed out.

Kinect voice and gesture ads present a terrifying future

@Peffse Yes, the first place you end up on, in the dash, is the Spotlight section, but if I remember correctly, the first tile has never been an ad. It's usually some dlc, or something like that. It's not had to push up once to get My Xbox section and the play disc tile.

Now I don't have the auto-run disc option enabled, but I believe if you had a game in the console, the game will launch and not the dash, during start up.

Also, if you guys have taken a look at the video demonstration, they're using the newer dash. The Home screen, has the play game/disc icon right there. So, if this new dash is a replacement for the current dash and Kinect Hub, you won't even have to push up to play the game in your drive.

@Shadowbender You should actually start by asking them to pick up Alan wake 2, because if I recall correctly they haven't decided to publish that yet.

@Khazidhea MS has been cutting/losing 1st party devs, but this is another department/division, so it's not like a new Kinect game isn't being developed because of this work.

Kinect voice and gesture ads present a terrifying future

@ansalon929 The ads on 360 aren't bad, and aren't anything like the types of ads you can get surfing the web. They're easy to ignore. IF ads on the net were setup the same way, I'm guessing alot of people now wouldn't even bother to install ad-blockers.

Now if MS starts pulling the same kind of ad shit that alot of websites do, then I'd get pissed but this story doesn't indicate they're moving in that direction.

I must have missed the terrifying part. What's so bad about this again? I've watched the video demonstration, and you only interact with the ads, if you opt to. It's kinda like internet ads, you know, click on an ad to find out more, or hover over it to see the video, etc.

Fable 3 combat lead gets combative about game's reception

@Faceless Troll like adrunkamputee said, the time didn't progress unless you sat on the throne and played king. If you never went into the room, and just did quest, time wouldn't progress. I figured it out after one or two progressions. Then I just played the game until I had all the money I needed. Ofcourse the game still sucked.

Just Add Water reviving Oddworld: Hand of Odd, confirms HD remake of Munch's Oddysee

I'd like to see Stranger's Wrath come out on 360. I missed out on it the first time. I'd have to pass on an updated Munch's Oddysee though, it got pretty boring/repetitive. I only finished it because I wanted to see how it would end.
