Sep 24th 2006 10:28PM (Joystiq)thanks for your in depth knowledge gleaned from a forum post. this has nothing to do with people overclocking their pcs and the overheating from running a game as a result. the point, which is being lost here, is that software is not the reason the ps3 is overheating. running your xbox for 800 hours straight and having it overheat is not a software problem. the kotaku post implied that faulty software was the issue. the issue is more likely no airflow or a hardware design issue. if software could cause overheating, we would have massive overheating problems. here is a challenge: write a piece of software that causes your pc to overheat.
