not only does gamestop involve in shady business practices, but they treat their employees like a serf treats those that works the land. i used to work there, and i quit twice. the first time was when they decided that they were going to introduce a new policy that the company, from somewhere in the nebulous "corporate," would start to issue the stores schedules. schedules that the stores HAD TO comply with. anyone incapable of working whatever schedule doled out to them would be asked to seek employment elsewhere. then they rescinded that order (maybe because they realized it was a dumbass idea? probably not.) and so i rescinded my two weeks.
the second time i quit was because i was going to get fired for playing games on the clock. nevermind that 1. our work was caught up, 2. there was only a single customer in the store (with two of us working), and 3. i'd said, "i'mma take 15 (that sounds legal, right?) and play on the xbox. if you need anything, shout," and i still performed my duties as required. greet customers, ask if they need help, yadda yadda.
essentially, if the antichrist was a videogame fanatic, he'd buy from gamestop and own stock. if the antichrist sold videogames, he'd probably buy gamestop.
Gamestop shenanigans sell open games as 'new'
