I have seen all the posts in here and while they are all good points, I feel like we are missing something that would bottle neck the advancement of DD for the near future : ISP's. Or mainly rather the bandwith allowed to individual subscribers of ISPs. I know Comcast throttles my connection when I get close to my DL limit (and the fact that we have limits is another concern) and other's may not even have a broadband connection.
While I am not a terribly huge fan of DD I can see the benefits for small bite sized games, but if the industry is hinting at full games DD (ala XBL and PSN,Steam) then we may have to deal with ISP's at some point.
I know that many people pirate full games already but contrary to popular belief it is the minority. If the entire industry goes DD then they could be headed for some roadblocks.
Though I'm happy with physical media. I'm most concerned with being able to play these games years down the line like my carts.
maintenance. This is why I hate flying. Why are we still using this crappy technology? Wings? Pshh! Get me some electro magnetics and repulsor lifts. Much safer. You hardly ever see ufos crash nowadays.
whats so odd about that? Bullit witch came out here ( a game noone wanted) for 40 bucks, why shouldn't this also come here. And this is actually a game I'm looking forward to. Now the game that needs to come to the US is IdolMaster, in it's origional language but subtitled. I know a lot of animu fans will love it.
