Xbox 360 used as rehab device for Marine

Dec 22nd 2006 3:13PM (Joystiq)
considering this is a post about a wounded american marine. i would recommend joystiq either turn off comments or have some sort of moderation because i suspect the loonies will come out pretty quickly. There are a lot of posters who seem to enjoy the sight of wounded or dead americans.

Ignorant European pols replace ignorant American pols

"4. As far as European First Amendments go, most of the EU states have constitutions with much clearer versions of it."

Seems someone does not understand what the first amendment means. The major european states, France, germany, uk, spain, italy all have laws outlawing certain types of speech they dont like. there is no such thing in the US. For example this could never happen here:

Ignorant European pols replace ignorant American pols

hahah yeah, deam on. europe will never have anything even close to the first amendment. If they did then it would mean letting neo-nazis organize openly like they do in the US.

The Political Game: Censorship in Beantown

Dec 15th 2006 10:33AM (Joystiq)
i suspect it was because this particular game has such a reputation. GTA is looked at like carmageddon or postal. Games that encorage people to commit crimes. All the other games you mentioned are not like that. movies are not interactive so you are just watching it.

In the end the ads were removed from the T because of the political consequences of having them there ie it was unpopular with the public. That sounds democratic to me.

PS3 launching at $974 in Mexico

Dec 15th 2006 8:58AM (Joystiq)
considering at last count, 9% of the mexican population is illegally in the US, at least some of them are paying the same as the US for a ps3.

Crime spree hits New England game stores

"6. Do the kiosk units even play retail games?"

If they are what i think they are, not only do they play retain games, they also play burned cds, dvds and bluray disks
