I waited outside a Best Buy in Watertown (near Boston) from 2:30am until 7:15am. I was like 75th in line, and they had 84 units to sell. But it was so friggin cold (35 degrees) and I didn't have warm enough clothes, that by the time 7am rolled around, I was shivering like mad and vomiting. BB was passing out tix at 8am and opening at 9. I was so damn close, but figured my health is more important than the Wii. I really wanted one before Thanksgiving, but I guess I'll have to be patient like Cartman... Really nice people in line, I'm sure they're all having a good time now. (Funny that I almost literally did freeze myself while waiting for the Wii).
When Apple tells Microsoft to "start their copiers," Nintendo might as well say the same to Sony. Ironic how Microsoft and Sony are both competing in the console race, yet maybe they should get out of computers/game consoles and instead manufacture photocopy machines. Then, at least they'd be doing work intrinsic to their respective companies' ecosystems.
#87 - yours is really original; wouldn't it be great if the ipod boombox was something like that -- a system that doesn't require pre-ownership of an ipod. imagine the market they could connect to!
So... did you get a Wii?
