To add to your comments Chris, the game could become a flash in the pan - but I don't think it will just die for 1 reason - its inbuilt clan system.

If you have a group of mates, who can work together (or get drunk together), your squad can turn the tide for you team - the games system of keeping clans together makes play with freinds even better (Even just during Beta).

I want to be in a clan in this game, I want to be part of a team, and winners at that. This means I will have to get good and be able to follow/give orders or see the direction they are going from just their gameplay - I have 3 mates with PS3's and we plan to get on there together.

Tony Hawk: Ride videos are in-game and out-of-game

I love the fact that it shows how behind the board controller is to the game is when he flicks the board at 1:36 (the board flicks round after the board is back in the straight position.) and how the caracter does a wierd glitch at 1:43.

So you haven't fixed your animation glitchs then Activision, lets see if this fixes its gameplay when its playable (if we can try before we buy at the retailers that is, not taking the risk without a taste of the reward.).

Ms 1 consumer 0

(until the Office of Fair Trading (UK) and EMCR (Euro) gets onto this and Action Replay + Datel both get a lovely payout)

Microsoft should have learned by now that monopoly pays until you land on someone elses square.

Resident Evil 5 'Versus' DLC dated and priced in Japan

Mar 14th 2009 3:50PM (Joystiq)
I have bought DLC, GTA's TLAD DLC is well worth it, but others....

Skate 2's unlock all? Horse armour?

Its Monkey business as they know its virtually impossible to try before you buy on these, its even more diabolical when said data is on the disc already, and just unlocked....

We need the rom hackers of the day to go through these discs and shine a light on what's in and out of these disc, and show up such gems such as Hot Coffee, 'Unlock DLC' (should be a free cheat, like its been for the last 15 or so years) & Street Fighter IV's DLC costumes already being on disc controversy's,

My opinion? send the disc to the company and ask for a refund as all wasn't given for the cover price, if you really want the game, re-buy it second hand, and enjoy the extra few bucks you saved while not letting the original company have your sale...

Hit the pocket, it hurts there..

NPD: Guitar Hero World Tour outsells Rock Band 2 by 2:1 in 2008

Jan 26th 2009 11:54PM (Joystiq)
Truth be told I don't think it was helped by the fact that EA are the delivery peeps for Rockband, and with Gamestop/EB's vs EA 'blackballing' (in UK at least) being in force, My local store put Rockband games behind the counter as 'ask for only' by orders of head office and GH3 - until World Tour came out - games and controllers in 'prominent placements' due to EA's lower profit margins for Gamestop (the distribution price for EA games are higher than others, and EA wont cut a deal.).

I went to 3 HMV's, a Zavvi, Game, Gamestop, Gamestation, Argos and PCWorld today, Argos and 1 of 3 HMV's had it on shelf (Bullring HMV - being the only one with AC/DC Live aswell) and Gamestop staff on counter wern't sure they had it (found out from friend who does later shift they did when first released but they only ordered small amount and never restocked.) - its like EA did a 'soft release' with gamestation(!) thinking it wasn't even out yet.

GM chief to drive Chevy Volt in search of $18 billion handout

Dec 4th 2008 5:10PM (Engadget)
To clarify some things I wrote earlier...

The bug was a joke, we even take the piss out of it.

Stuntman argued I was wrong on the account of mpg and selling, pointing out the Ford Focus, and he's right, its Euro's best seller, but it isn't American made nor designed, it was designed by Ford Europe in Cologne, while some profits do go back to USA it mainly stays in Europe.

The American Focus and the Focus's sold elseware are different cars. The availability of lower mpg versions is also different, The American Focus (least mpg available in USA) does 31.6mpg, the rest of the world focus (least mpg available) is 42.2 mpg, if I included diesel that would be 54.9 mpg.

Some also argued that General Motors also sell well elsewhere as well, they do, but with company's they bought from those markets and still design and sell their own cars, Vauxall/Opal and Daewoo.

People also argue that its cause of safety standards (Hi Jake B), the Euro safety standards are higher than USA's, we even include pedestrian safety requirements for people who might get hit by your car, and Japanese cars have a lot of new tech included that won't reach any other shores for years to come, yet still have lower mpg's, all you need to do is see the average MPG of an American car compared to a Euro or Japanese (or even emerging Indian cars.) and see its broken (btw heads up, according to MSNBC, 40mpg Euro - 20.4mpg US).

People are getting Patriotic here, that's not the point, the market is now global and you have to be able to sell to all markets, Hummer, Chrysler, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Pontiac, GMC, Lincoln, Mercury, Dodge & Jeep are all American badges, and designed for the American market, but unless they change to suit the world they will not sell well elsewhere.

GM chief to drive Chevy Volt in search of $18 billion handout

I agree Joker, My car is from '72 (a Bond Bug) and it gets more Mpg that that hunka trash, also more stylish lol.

American cars have terrible Mpg, and are oversized so don't sell well outside of America, but because European and Japanese cars are small and not so thirsty they can sell anywhere.

And now the US Govt is giving them a bailout, well done, probably getting what they've paid the senate in backhanders back, here's an idea for helping your company and your country, sell something that will sell around the world and give better rewards for your dough, cause a cup holder just don't fly over here.
