The gameplay descriptions I've read so far sound like Sin & Punishment, is that accurate?

Sin & Punishment is pretty much the best shooter of all time so if this plays like it, I might have to check it out.

I'm hoping they do sorta what they did in '07

I agree with most of what your saying, graphics/art are relevant in gaming, and Conduit could and should certainly be compared to other modern FPSs. I only take issue with your sarcastic notion "all of the sudden the wiimote is the best controller for FPS". Preference aside, IR is much more accurate, more precise, and quicker than a thumbstick. Thats fact, not an opinion.

Personally I think The Conduit looks like a fun, decent, generic FPS, nothing more nothing less. The ridiculus hype is fine for sales but it may lead to alot of disappointed gamers who think this is the second coming. Based on what I've seen I'd say that Killzone 2(for example) is probably better game, besides the slower/less accurate aiming ;)
