Mar 5th 2012 4:27AM (WoW)it's the only primary gathering profession that doesn't reward XP. Whilst i can understand why it doesn't, i can't help but think more people would pick the profession up if there were other gains to be had from it when levelling, e.g. additional XP.

Breakfast Topic: What game mechanic should be dumped?
Oct 5th 2011 11:15AM (WoW)again, going to disagree with you there. It happens a lot.. 100% stun from full health, to death.
Look at some of the swifty PVP videos, he's getting single hit crits consistently above 100,000, and sometimes reaching as high as >300,000. That's after a stun, and some prior damage. That's against targets with a lot of resi as well.
PvP to the point where a single person can do more than 2 times as much damage as you can have in health, when wearing PvP specific gear, is a joke. It removes skill. it makes it boring to watch. and drives people away from that aspect of the game.
diminishing returns is all well and good, but it should be time based so that i cannot be immediately be stunned after coming out of a stun. Taking rogues as an example, they have plenty of mechanics to deal with getting away from a target that's coming out of a stun.. but they shouldn't immediately be able to stun me again, or to chain stun.
until they do, i'm sticking to PvE, and more fairly balanced PvP oriented games. :-)

Oct 5th 2011 6:40AM (WoW)but as there's so few BM the top 100 probably accounts for a large portion of the active BM raiders, rather than the top 100 out of 10s of 1000s.

Oct 2nd 2011 9:59AM (WoW)it's a broken mechanic that shouldn't have gone 6 years, getting more and more broken with time.

Sep 16th 2011 4:50AM (WoW)For me, the range issue in PvE is more about consistency. In Cataclysm we have a number of bosses where there is no minimum range, and thusly as a hunter we can stand right in their hit box and still attack them - this is fundamental for the mechanics of the fight to work, e.g. majordomo. Then there are others where we cannot stand in range, e.g. rhyolith.
Now, what bugs me is inconsistency. Range is fine if it's consistent.. either keep it in, or take it away, just pick one and stick with it.
for me, the biggest quality of life issue was the fact my range weapon breaks much more quickly than every other item, AND it can go from white to red in the space of a single encounter. It should never break to 0 durability in a fight.. ever!
