made me gag, but, knowing what the client request was and understanding how that game works, it's actually well done. just not to my taste :)

well, in my case, it was pretty annoying. the process:

put in a new copy of gt5. informed that i need to update to 3.50. 15 minutes later, done.

restart.

informed that 3.55 is required. 10 minutes later, done.

gt5 finally starts. informed i need to download a 160 meg patch. 5 minutes later, done.

gt5 actually starts. informed i /should/ install the game. 20 minutes later, done.

after almost /50/ minutes of twiddling my thumbs, i /finally/ got to start the game and play. seriously.

ahh... i hadn't read about that limitation. what a waste. i have an external 250g on my wii and never touch my discs anymore. was hoping to do the same with a 500 on my 360 (though with the disc verification limitation).

with the upcoming ability to use external usb drives, this is a really bad deal all around.

if only they'd use mod_rewrite or the equiv for iis. those urls are u-g-l-y and way too long.
