I've played a handful of Flower levels. I miss it so much. Why can't it come out already? :P

PS3 Fanboy hands-on: Flower

Jan 19th 2009 1:00PM (Joystiq Playstation)
"There's no time limit, no hazards, no points system and, really, no way to fail."

This is actually false, because as you progress through the game you become closer to the environmental damage sources (us) and our technology / architecture. These include windmills which you can activate or which are already "flowing" and affect your gameplay, as well as electrical towers and other environmental hazards which can deplete your petal count.

Other sections further along may or may not release with time limits for specific areas, although those are more related to an occurrence within the environment which is forcing you to keep going through specific areas if you want to avoid the oncoming hazard.

Slo-mo deaths aplenty in new Killzone 2 trailer

Jan 14th 2009 7:07AM (Joystiq Playstation)
A few people have asked about this and the answer is very simple - this video was intentionally constructed with "spinning" and "dancy" deaths. There are countless videos from the beta and trailers showing more elaborate animations, however...

At CES during the Killzone 2 presentation the speaker said they put together a video using their Hit Response system to show the enemies "doing ballet". Thus, it was named the "Ballet of Death" :)

GC 2008: Over 2.2m SingStar downloads, Disney version coming to PS2

Aug 21st 2008 3:29AM (Joystiq)
Oh thank god this is for PAL territories. I don't think I can handle testing any more SingStar titles at work, lol. Good thing I'll be out of there soon and working at another game company :D

GC 2008: Killzone 2 multiplayer trailer looks good, sounds too real

Aug 21st 2008 3:26AM (Joystiq)
I do believe I heard damn, bitch (a lot), shit, and the f-bomb. Of course, the post has now been edited to say "racial slurs" but since this is an advertisement for the multiplayer in a mature title they kept it politically correct :)

WunderWall: "We're better than Wii"

Dec 15th 2006 2:04AM (Joystiq)
WonderWall can't even handle any more "publicity" judging by the fact their website bandwidth is exceeded.

The games look like someone tried applying motion-controls to ATARI. I'll stick with my Wii :)

United 93 News: Trailer Pulled from NYC Theater, Greengrass Live Chat

What I don't get is this is supposed to be a film that takes place on a plane that was supposedly hijacked and crashed in Pennyslvania.

The plane is still flying today.
