I guess I was unclear while trying to be polite. I know exactly when MY warranty ends, but I didn't want to be the sort of user who hammers out an "OMG the blogger screwed up" post.

Are you sure about the date? When I bought my iPhone (months after launch) they told me very explicitly that the warranty is 365 days, not 1 year. I point this out because 2008 had a February 29th. Would that mean these original warranties actually kick the bucket a day earlier, on the June 28th?

I want it badly, but I'm saving for my wedding. Please help me out!

It baffles me when I see Con organizers allowing booths like this (Nan Desu Kan in Denver and Mid-Ohio Con in Columbus come to mind), but my default response is to laugh smugly at the customers who don't know they're getting ripped off and could get it elsewhere for free.

No other big moments for me, but I saw a 4 year old kid on the bus the other day with his dad, and the kid had his bluejeans and hooded sweatshirt on backwards. What a rebel!
