What better way to get you to buy Rock Band 3 next Xmas? Rock Band 3 doesn't exist yet.

For all of you that think this kind of action is "classic", I hope you learn a lesson one day by having someone rip you off. This type of behavior is reprehensible.

Anybody remember the Panasonic 3DO? It was $600+ at launch and very few people bought it.

It is hard to convince game developers to invest money in games for a small installed base.

On Sunday, I made the trip around to Best Buy, Circuit CIty, ToysRUs and Target. There were at least 30 people at all locations by 6:00 am except Target. So I stopped there. I was number 7 in line. Two guys showed up from Circuit City line about 7:00 and said Circuit City only got 4 Wiis. At 7:30, a manager from Target came out and said they got 0.

It stinks. Oh well...

Would it matter if his hair were purple? It doesn't matter which actor plays Bond. They have to come up with a better story than the same one they have done 30 times before. Otherwise, they will just get a few more looky-loos than usual and the movie will still flop.

Who cares who shows up for a benefit like this? As long as it generates donations for the survivors of that disaster. God knows they can use all the help they can right now. Look in your local community. I'm sure a church or somebody is organizing a fund raiser. Any little bit will help.

The problem is the special interest groups play the press to get free publicity for their cause. The press is always more than willing to do it. Formula: Say you represent a few thousand people, pick a target, then rant for several minutes on your cause to a news reporter. The press eats it up.
