Before the Wii VC came about, XBLA had Gauntlet, Joust, Smash TV, Robotron 2084, Frogger, Galaga, Pac-Man, Street Fighter II, Time Pilot, Scramble, Dig Dug, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Contra, and Defender, in addition to a number of board and puzzle games that have appeared on other platforms before (and of course in addition to a bunch of original games). Games like Worms were in development before the Wii VC had "success making $$$". I don't see a change in Microsoft's behavior.
