Yes, I think it will come to the PS3, but it's likely they'll also release it for the Xbox 360.
Charlie Skilbeck said that there are plans to port the CryEngine2 to the PS3, so maybe that was a hint?

It's next generation!
It wouldn't be very innovative if they just left a DVD drive in the PS3. People would just think of the PS3 as a more powered up PS2. The Nintendo Wii for example, it has no (graphical) improvement, other then the controller, that should have been on the GameCube.
Next gen says it all. you improve things. Going from 8.5GB to 50GB is a big innovation.
PC gaming will also shift in the long run to a next generation format.
Just think of multiple Blu-ray dics on the PS3!! haha
