Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing demo might be forthcoming

Feb 10th 2010 1:09AM (Joystiq)
Wii only supports demos for WiiWare or via disk. This isn't a WiiWare game, and disk-based demos are costly to put out. It's near-free to have a demo be downloadable on PSN/XBLA/DS.

Off-putting off-screen Heavy Rain footage

because idiots at a convention playing a demo are a good indicator of control quality.

It's not like you ever have to play a game for more than three seconds to gain competency at it or anything.

Ignition: Muramasa sales 'in line with expectations'

Oct 25th 2009 8:01PM (Joystiq)
Speaking as a Wii user who does not own Muramasa, I am not a Wii owner who does not WANT Muramasa. I simply have other things on my plate.

Sit back and relax guys. People on the Wii aren't dying to have the newest, flashiest hardware; and we're not dying to have the newest games either. We can wait. That's why our games sell crap at first and stretch out, instead of a big boom at the beginning and then off a cliff.

Balance Board+DS+Homebrew = Portable weight monitoring! Pretty simple to stuff a balance board in a suitcase or dufflebag.

It's basically the same theory as lie detector machines, only cheaper technology.

That said, airport security exists to give the illusion of security, not to actually make anyone safer.

Wii System Update 4.2 now live

Except you legally allow them to do what they will when you update your console. It's pretty obvious-- they even say in the ADVERTISEMENT of the update; not just the EULA; that if you have unauthorized modifications, they may cease functioning or have other problems. Nice big letters. It isn't Nintendo's fault if their users can't read.

MP3. It just seems the best in terms of design.

Way of the Samurai 3 coming to North America via two publishers

Aug 22nd 2009 5:14PM (Joystiq)
I love the rampant racism in some of these comments.

"Man, this game is just like another game made by a different company."

"what? how?"

"Asians! There's ASIANS in it!"

Anyway, I haven't sunk much time into Way of the Samurai, but it's a pretty neat concept to not have one big arching storyline. I would like to see 3 on Wii, but more than that I'd like to see it as a download. The 'go in, have a bit of fun, have your story, done' style would fit a download much better than a disk.
