Ff you have an infinite number of gamers writing into an infinite number of game magazines eventually they'll predict the Wii(and every other console for that matter).

Actually, Ken Kutaragi does this a lot too. For example, he predicited that I'd be able to jack into the matrix with the PS2 and I totally did. Sure, Enter The Matrix was mediocre, he was right! Then he said games would be live in 4-d! Sure enough I go home and play Xbox Live games in 4-D!!!! Game predicitioning is so much fun!

Once they are done with Halo 3, they can move on tho World of Halo, errr I mean Halo Online. :) Blizz did it and it's raking in more cash than War 3 ever could hope to. Halo Online will happen. It makes a whole lot more sense than Halo 4 or 5 would.

I thought the 360 should have one SKU priced at $360. It'd be briliantly simple. By the same token I think the Playstation 3 should be $3,000. That way it's equally as easy to remember. :)

The Game Boy Advance Castlevania games are really awesome. Circle of The Moon still occupies the GBA slot in my DS. Years after originally playing it, I sill love that game.

Color me retarded, but am I the only one who wants component video HDTV outputs on Apple products. Apple is usually REALLY smart about these things, but there is NO component output on the mini or any other of their devices. Not every television has DVI or HDMI, so some of us are just plain out of luck I guess. It's really sad because while the addition of component video support might only add $10-$20 to Apple's cost, as consumers it costs a lot more to get a converter to go vga or dvi to component video. Like say $200. Apple needs to do us all a favor and support ALL HDTV's not just HDMI/DVI because MOST of us don't have HDMI or in many cases, DVI.

If you sit down and think about it, Sony has done an amazing thing. It's convinced thousands if not millions of Playstation gamers that 1080p means something to them. It's the first time that I can ever remember a computer resolution meaning ANYTHING to a game since Diablo 2 went from 640x480 to 800x600. In OpenGL and DirectX the games all play the same independant of the resolution. The only thing that 1080p gives you is the lack of interlacing at 1920x1080. Big deal. You CAN'T tell the difference. If the developers can't take care of jaggies and such at 720p with anti-aliasing and all the other gfx tricks, 1080p won't help. Personally, I'd be a lot happier if Sony just stuck with 720p and tried to push better AA and more cool effects. That would make more difference graphically.

Wait, now they tricked me too! Now I don't even care about the gameplay, I want pretty pixels too! I think it's time for me to go home and play some Xbox 360. MMM High Def Gaming....

As a side note, To Miyamoto. His work is phenominal, but Nintendo is just as guilty of the same old experiences with new graphics. That is not a bad thing, but once Nintendo comes up with an original idea, at least three sequels are sure to follow. That is where Nintendo really innovated. They started the clone wars....with their own past success.

Alex Keen is the hero of all commentors. Sure, he doesn't have the most stars, but give the guy credit....he has 6 stars and only 4 comments. If he keeps this up by the time he hits 300 posts he will have roughly 450 stars. If you do the Mario Math that's like a couple hours or more of Mario being invincible. Alex, my hats go off to you. You found the Joystiq warp whistles to world 8 and didn't even look back.

I can think of one shared component: ELECTRICITY. Since cellphones...errr...portable multimedia communication devices.... use electricity, that is going to cause Sony blu-ray shortages.

Also, isn't it a bit ironic that Sony's major blu-ray device - the PS3 is going to have "the fastest ramp up ever" and is going to "ship 1 million consoles a month" yet at the same time "cellphones are going to cause blu-ray shortages and we won't meet demand". If there are shortages coming for Sony's blu-ray devices, won't those probably translate into PS3 shortages at some point? If I had to guess, I'd say Sony's going to have a component shortage for the PS3 and it will only hit 3 million units by March, the same thing that happened to the Xbox 360.

Hey everybody, just wait until the Xbox 360 comes out with a new Premium package in October/November. They'll probably throw in the HD-DVD player in at the $400 price point and move the current premium package down to $300. I'm guessing they'll drop the core package. After all, the 360 being out for a year would make it ripe for a price cut and that would throw a huge wrench into the whole "well if you add $200 to the price of the 360 for HD-DVD, then it's the same price". Sony is banking on that arguement and in the end I don't think it'll fly. Microsoft wants to be a better value for the consumer. If nothing else I expect a $100 price drop by the end of the year.

Wow, Sony's press event is late...like the PS3. I'm impressed. It's an epedemic.
