...and that's why the question of any of this being in any sort of context is moot because it's all just culled from a bunch of stories. I believe Lucifer became an epithet for Samael and or "Satan" after the New Testament was edited together.
Some argue that Lucifer, Satan and Samael aren't even the same character.

-It's storytelling, hopefully they do something interesting with it. People here only take notice when people are creative withJudeo-christian characters. Look at how wildly different than the source material something like God of War was.

I personally, love to see wasting millions of dollars and failing miserably. There's something so right about a failure this epic. It's a thing of beauty. Also the collective willful ignorance of all of the people (director, crew, actors) is mind blowing. It's like that movie where only rowdy roddy piper can only see that the alien monsters are walking among the people of the city and everybody else is unable to see them.
