I come from one of those "smart" families, and I can say that heavy drinking was very common. I think it is because if you get good marks, drinking doesn't really cause a "problem", you land a good job, you get paid well, if it's not broke don't fix it.

First of all everyone is not beautiful, I love when people say that, platitudes, like every child is special, we all are important. I have seen ugly women, some look good with some more weight (not fat curvy, if you have more than one chin you are fat), some look better skinny. Some need to lose weight, some need to gain. I myself am out of shape, and am working my ass off to get cut, because the truth is, it is healthier and I will feel better and look better, I am not a hypocrite about it. Just my two cents.

I like the line, about asking someone if they play baseball casue they are paunchy and chew tobacco. I am a ameteur ball player, and while I don't chew tobbaco, I do have a slight gut. Anyways, I can't belive people actually say some of those awfull lines, mentioned in the article or comments. I like tall chicks, I also like short chicks, well height does not matter I suppose to me. To any other guys on this thread, one overall tip, don't say stupid crap to a women you want to go ut with, and don't sound like some freak who is in awe of some attribute, be it height, beuty, or a particular nice pair of bozoms, or even intelligence for that matter.

The psychiatric industry is a sham, I have had people very close to me who have suffered cause of it, the doctors just take advantage of parents of and the mentally ill them selves, trust me the best thing you can do is take her off those meds, and try to help her find purpose in her life, trust me on this I know. I just fell immensely lucky that I have never had to go through that type of ordeal myself, just watching someone you care about suffer cause if it is hard enough, I can't imagine going through with it myself.

This has nothing to do with the war, the government, it has to do with the fact that there are people who do evil things to others, plain and simple. Also I take offense as an atheist that (almost) everyones first inclination is to blame a godless society, I have a religiously diverse group of friends, Catholic, Buddhist, Jewish, Islamic, Native American Spiritual, they are good people, cause they are good people, not because of their faith or lack of.

Parents can't be blamed for everything, he pulled the trigger, he saw blood and fear in his peers but continued, he did it not his mother or father. I don't care how badly you were brought up, the responsibility lay square on his shoulders, allot of people have problems, only those who chose to kill, kill.

I fell sorry for the victims, but not for the killer, not only did he take many lives away, but was too much of a coward to face the results of his actions.

I would take a Grunt in hand to hand combat, their slow, weak, small and have a high pitched voice. Ya we'd be evenly matched.

One more thing if there is a hypothetical god ( I don't believe myself but bear with me ) and he/she is all known and fair then if you draw this to it's "logical" conclusion that every possible being would be created both "evil" and "good" at a given time. If you are a true atheist you play these thought games because a "illogical" theory is as much faith based as anything else. there are other reasons I believe what i do, this is not the right place or time for this is it though.

I'm an atheist myself and have encountered those who are "heartless" and just wanted to say that even if the universe is random and the stars variables of the cosmos. There is something bigger than us all, each other. My heart pours out to those effected by this tragedy and everyone who endured this deserves our best wishes and the right to comfort in any way that helps them. We as a society should not blame staff or students, they're the victims and honestly no one could see this coming. We should work on preventing these events and helping those who are stricken by the actions of a unstable individual.
