Pathetic! This was suppose to be their #1 AAA title exclusive to the PS3 and they only sold 500k in 30 days? What that tells me is that people did not purchase PS3 consoles because of this game. And that is what Sony needed to happen very badly. I mean 4+ years in the making and god knows how much money went into development and they didn't even reach a 1 million? I thought for sure they could achieve that. I played it on my frined's PS3 and it was definitely a great game. However, would it make me want to spend $400 to buy a PS3? Mos def not. Imagine if a Halo, Gears, Grand Theft or Metal Gear game sold 500k copies in 30 days...It would be considered a complete and utter failure.If I was Sony, I would drop the price by $50 and throw in this game in a couple months. That way it is really like spending $300 with a AAA game included. They obviously know now that this game isn't increasing console sales.

Holy fucking shit batman!!! The graphics looks ridiculously good. Dare I say better than GoW 2. I just hope that these weren't "touched up" a la EA games or Kill Zone. This is still a 360 exclusive right?

Congrats to Sony for June NPD results, especially after a very disappointing E3. Ok, so we all knew people were going to buy PS3s when MGS4 was coming out. I wouldn't count on this momentum to continue. Since everyone has their MGS4 fix, the numbers will surely go down for the next quarter. I will be very interested in the NPD results from July-September. Resistance 2 is the only exclusive coming out for '08 but the people that are going to buy it are people that already own a PS3. It is not going to drive hardware sales. Just like Gears 2 won't increase hardware sales that much for the 360 because 90% of the people buying it already own a 360.

Dude read my post. Xbox 360 dashboard update will support installing the ENTIRE game to the HDD so it won't matter how many discs it comes out on. Plus faster laoding times and not disc tray noise. Try reading Kotaku.com, Joystiq or better yet, XBOXFANBOY.COM first! Hahahaha.....

You hear that guys...it doesn't matter how many discs they make it, plus faster load times and no disc drive noise! AS much as I hate Microsoft sometimes, they are definitely listening to their audience. Is Sony doing the same?

Wow! Guys I have to admit I'm a 360 fanboy but I did not see this coming. IMHO Sony only has a handful of decent games. I WAS GOING TO BUY A PS3 WHEN FFXIII CAME OUT BECAUSE I LOVE THE SERIES THAT MUCH. I think FFVII was the best video game ever made-I have yet to relive that same experience in any other video game. I do not like the Metal Gear series, never have and never will. I do respect Kojima-san as an artist; for his storytelling, vision and gameplay but it just didn't do it for me. I now have no reason to buy a PS3 unless they announce some major exclusives or unannounced titles. I do no like FPS games so Killzone and Resistance measn nothing to me although they are looking good. Afrika...Little Big Planet no thanks. 360 just gave the PS3 a royal fuck you with a pearl necklace to boot.

Well guys, welcome to the world of merger mania. It is happening to all industries not just this one. The airline industry is going through the same thing; i.e. Delta/Northwest and Continental/United. I bought several hundred shares of Take-Two couple weeks ago for $16/share after the Viacom buyout rumor. I assumed that if even that didn't come to fruiation that someone else would offer a buyout. Even if no buyouts occured, GTA IV is coming out soon and that was going to drive the stock price way up. The reason EA wants to buy them now is it would be a lot cheaper now then after GTA IV comes out. I'm sure that is the main reason why Zelnick rejected the bid. This is also going to get other possible suitors into the game. Do I think the merger fever in the game industry is bad? Absolutely. However, that is the reality and I don't see it changing anytime soon. I would buy some Take-Two stock on Monday ASAP!

Ok guys so we all agree that this is most likely not legit. However, I believe for the right price and a contract that Epic can live with that takes advantage of their independence, this could become reality. Then I thought of this:

Microsoft announces Halo 4 (since they own the IP) from you guessed it...Epic! It would be the first game to use Unreal Engine 4! Remember, although Microsoft owns the Halo IP, Bungie has gone on the record saying that even if they don't make the next Halo game they would have input on the game because after all, it is their baby. I'm sure Bungie and Epic could work together since they have a lot of respect for each other. Although the game would be made by Epic and Bungie would just be a "consultant." I would predict this would be coming holiday 2010 when the 360 is down to $200. They could also cross promote GoW and Halo together. Imagine Chief in a GoW game and vice versa!

Even though AT&T will take over Starbucks, T-Mobile HotSpot customers still have free access to all the Starbucks locations for many years including HotSpot @Home service. You think T-Mobile just gave Starbucks away to AT&T. I'm sure a lot of money or revenue sharing switched hands...

I love how all you idiots are proclaiming this as game of the year when it isnt' even being released for another 8 months. I also love how people are proclaiming the graphics are setting a new standard when it's just static screen shots. To all those idiots that don't think these screenshots aren't photoshopped or "touched up" remember the Kill Zone 2 screenshots...oh yeah they admitted that they were "touched up." Now am I saying the game isn't going to look great? No. I'm sure the graphics will be excellent since they have a history of making great looking games. Do I think the screenshots make it look much better than Halo 3? A little bit for sure but definitely not what you guys are proclaiming. Am I a big Halo 3 fan? Yes, I admit it but I do prefer COD 4 over Halo3 right now. And lets remember there is a lot more to games than just pretty graphics...remember a great story, great soundtrack, great gameplay, great multiplayer and then hopefully all these elements come together in a great package. That is why Halo became the great franchise it did. Even if you hate Halo histiry has shown many people have enjoyed the game over 3 generations. Before I get flames, yes I am a 360Wii poster. I don't hate the PS3 but not one game has made me want to buy one. When FFXIII is released then I will buy one (maybe in white not sure)-not MGS4. I hate the fact there this generation forgot about epic RPS...I'm sick of FPS! Fuck the pretty graphics if it doesn't sell a botaload. Remember the business is all about making money. Last time I checked Halo 3 sold over 8 million copies and going. Can Resistance 2 or Kill Zone 2 match that? Not even close IMHO. Lastly, bring on FFXIII ASAP!
