Meet basically every game composer ever in Burbank on June 11

@gatotsu911

My favorite Western VG composer is probably Jeremy Soule (Total Annihilation, Icewind Dale, Oblivion, and many others).

But, TBH, I prefer the old chip music.

Sony responds to Congress with open letter, suggests 'Anonymous' was responsible

@mrantimatter

"I wasn't aware game designes were in charge of network security.

Or that the network security folks ever anticipated someone giving out the consoles encryption keys. Until that happened things were pretty secure for Sony."

That's not how security works. Nothing that is done on a PS3 should be able to compromise personal information stored on the network. The security that measures that keep this information safe resides on the network, not on a home console.

Two Worlds 2 expansion, 'Pirates of the Flying Fortress,' coming in September

@The Tim

Flying Fortress refers to the B-17. The B-29 was the Superfortress (and the B-52 called Stratofortress).

@Negatron

I don't think demand for any kind of 3D will be very high in a couple years.

Load up your 3DS AR cards on your internet-equipped phone

@acme64

Don't think you understood what I was saying. The AR effect relies on a large flat surface. The card lays flat on this surface. using your phone elevates the "card" so that the AR polygons are on a different plane.

Just make paper copies of the cards.

Okamiden producers discuss planning around Pokemon and 3DS

@mrmobius

Meh. Once the 3DS drops to my price range (and hopefully has a better battery) I may buy one to use 90 to 99% of the time in 2D mode. Until then, I'd rather have the games I want to play released on the platform that is most comfortable to play them on (my DSi XL).

But I am hopeful that 3DS game development will flourish.

Doesn't using your phone defeat the purpose, since the AR stuff will appear to float above the tabletop?

Report: 3DS components cost about $100

@Rannxz

I love my DSi XL. I don't see what the issue is. Between phone, keys, wallet, etc., I don't have room in my pocket for game systems anyway

Now Playing: March 21-27, 2011

@Lerkero

I have a feeling after a year or so, the focus on the games will be shifted away from the 3D capabilities since it seems to bother so many people, and you'll get similar games as you have now on the DS.
