U.N. to Support $100 Laptop Initiative

Apr 4th 2006 5:13AM (The Wireless Development Weblog)
Are there no questions to ask about this idea? Is it something we should just accept and celebrate? Is everything digital by definition, "good?" Is everything "emergent" good?

New WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW 2007 screens

Apr 4th 2006 5:02AM (Joystiq Playstation)
It will be nice after E3 when everyone will stop using the previous E3's tech demos as benchmarks to what actual games will look like on the PS3. Just look at the GDC pics of Warhawk, which was the only tech demo from the previous E3 that seemed to be based in reality of what the PS3 can do. Impressive? Sure. But it's not anything what the Sony fanboys are trumpeting.

Will the PS3 have some fine assed graphics? Of course it will, but I wouldn't honestly so soon make it out to be your own personal interactive SGI workstation playland. I imagine at the most the gap between the two will be how the current gen is with the PS2 and Xbox, Just switched around.

It's expected of THQ to make a Smackdown game with graphics like that.

Now, on to Frame City Killer: Behold, the power of Xbox 360, running UE 3.0. And it look like crap.

Hitman: Blood Money sets sights on Xbox 360

Apr 4th 2006 4:49AM (Joystiq Xbox)
I am so hot for this game. The Hitman series has always been one of my favorites. I even loved Contracts. In fact, I don't see what people see wrong with that one besides some of the rehashed levels.

Hitman: Blood Money sets sights on Xbox 360

I loved the first Hitman -- it was near perfect were it not for the hellish controls. However, every Hitman since the first has been less capable of making me really feel like a hitman.

I suppose its a push for less simulation and more point-and-click action for the console-kiddies.

New Vertu Phones

See, if I saw one of these I'd wonder why the person had a big foot etched on their cell phone.

Convert WMA to Quicktime

Apr 3rd 2006 4:07AM (DV Guru)
I tried the demo version...it didn't convert the whole song, only 12 seconds of it. I know the demo version is limited, but geez...if the demo would work right, I would buy this.

Box Office Report: The Ice Age is Here!

Apr 3rd 2006 4:00AM (Cinematical)
The lack of a good story brings this film down a bit, but the comedy makes up for it. It's still a film that children will enjoy, although it does not hold the same charm as the first film and is less memorable. I give it about an average score because it did make me laugh, it was enjoyable, and the animation was good, but it lacked a good story.

The first Ice Age movie was great. I loved the subdued environments. I will definately be watching Ice Age 2.
