I'm going to guess that most game development studios have a lot less money than Blizzard. Cost & support is a huge factor.

Dual-booting a Mac into Windows is mind-numbingly easy and games run like a champ, depending on the system specs. Mac owners really can play any game they want. Also in many cases, the Windows version typically runs better than the Mac ports of a lot of games.

Can't say I'm impressed by any of those.

I picked up the PS3 version on a whim the other day. I will say, for a guy that has been burned out and completely disappointed with each MMO release, I'm actually enjoying DCUO WAY more than I thought I did. Really, it doesn't do all that much different and maybe I just enjoy playing on my couch and with a controller but I'm hooked on this game for the time being. It's casual enough and has just enough of a hook to keep me interested.

Now I wish Sony would fix voice chat on the PS3 already. *grumble*

With prices like these, looks like I'm sticking with "inferior mobile phone gaming LOL!".

Someone else said it already here... "Too rich for my blood." At least when it comes to portable gaming.

2011 is looking to be more like the year of the Sci-Fi MMO.

Genre similarities aside, this looks a lot like Tabula Rasa. :D Hopefully this game will be good.
