Doesn't work in Opera 10.5. Ergo, I don't care about it.

Ah... I love the smell of karma.

GoldenEye XBLA stuck in 'no man's land'

Personally, I wouldn't buy any re-release of this game unless they added a respawn invulnerabilty period. Any time I tried to learn the game, someone who knew every single spawn point in perfect order always killed me before I took a single step.

Iwata 'sorry' for Nintendo E3 briefing; Wii supplies may still be tight this holiday

Jul 23rd 2008 12:46PM (Joystiq)
E3 was a big disappointment for me. Capcom and Nintendo both dropped the ball and didn't have any announcements I was hoping for, Lucasarts' Indiana Jones was a no-show, and Turbine didn't even show up with any news about this year's Lord of the Rings Online expansion. Thank goodness I finally got to see a bit of Conduit footage to salvage some of the experience.

I bought a Wii on launch day. Camped out in front of EB from four o'clock in the morning (and while it was snowing). I bought Smash Bros, Fire Emblem, Zelda, Mario, and Metroid on their respective launch days as well. Am I not the kind of customer Nintendo wants? I think Nintendo needs to brush up on the Pareto Principle (known in business circles as the 80/20 rule). In any management or marketing college-level class, you're likely to learn fairly early on that you can expect 80% of your sales to come from 20% of your customers (I know they threw that one at me a few times). Guess what Nintendo, the core gamer is that twenty percent. You may want to work a little harder at appeasing us. Until then, I'll keep playing Bioshock and Mass Effect on my 360... until Fable 2 comes out *this year*, that is.

Turnabout Prosecutor information! Please, Capcom, save E3 for me!

Joystiq poll: Which of the Big 3 had the best E3 keynote?

Jul 15th 2008 6:14PM (Joystiq)
I wasn't particularly blown away by any of the keynotes. I was expecting... something more from Nintendo and nothing in the Sony lineup interested me. Thus, I was left with Microsoft as the default since at least they showed a bit of Fable 2 which has had me interested for quite some time.

Massively plays conference-wide MMO bingo

Didn't Turbine say they wouldn't be at E3? That's really a shame, especially with a major expansion for Lord of the Rings Online coming soon :(

Lifetime LOTRO subscription ftw.

Thompson sends own son on personal sting operation against Best Buy

Dunno if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but Jack Thompson should note that a sample size of one is not statistically significant by any stretch of the imagination.
