FaceTime: iPhone 4 gets its own video calling app

Jun 7th 2010 9:43PM (Download Squad)
I'm not an iphone hater or lover, but I'm not sure I would call this "pushing the envelope." Doesn't the EVO do this with Qik, over the network too... and with mobile to PC calling? It seems like features are so much more exciting when the make it to the iphone.

Yep, the iPhone runs Android 2.2, too

@redhineymonkey

How does my Incredible's hardware suck compared to the iphone? No, I wouldn't switch to the iphone if it were on my carrier, and I wouldn't switch to the iphone os if I didn't have an apple logo. You guys are still getting incremental upgrades for things that we've had since Android 1. Are you like the guys at my office that fawn about how the new os is getting folders? It's a folder... big f*cking woop. You guys have bought into this platform that's somehow able to excite you with with small upgrades of mediocrity.

You wouldn't drink 9-year-old milk... so why use a 9-year-old browser?

The best way to install wireless drivers when there isn't one included by default is to find the windows xp version of the driver, and use ndiswrapper. Using ndiswrapper requires the terminal but it's simple, and the necessary packages are included on the live cd. You can search google for installing a driver with ndiswrapper.

I'm not so sure that it's supposed to bring up an address bar. If this is for an actual kiosk, that particular function wouldn't be necessary.
