Ahh yes, this is the same crowd that thinks helping others through Folding@Home is a bad thing.
Microsoft fans to the core. Helping others is bad - quite the reputation you guys are acquiring for yourselves. I can't wait for you guys to laugh at people with cancer - I'm sure it's coming.
Well I guess Sony should be slapped for doing something different. I mean, they are expected to do what everyone else does and never innovate right? I mean, who would ever put a CD player in a console? Who would ever put a DVD player in a console? Who would ever put a BluRay player in a console?
Nope, Sony should stick with being boring like Microsoft and never try anything different. Maybe put something like HDMI 1.2 in it's machine - 6 months after it's been rendered obsolete. Going out on a limb is bad and being who risk doing something different and out of the norm are never rewarded. Heck look at Google - look how stupid they look for doing things differently - they should be like Microsoft more and charge 5 cents every time you push the red button.
Sigh... Only so much sarcasm to throw out tonight. Come on people, the context in what they did was good - Most of you don't realize that the whole God of War thing is laced with testosterone but some idiot at the Daily News (Equivalent is Fox News in North America) had a slow day and thought he could twist this around. I mean, if you guys think this is bad, what did you think of the movie 300? Killing babies that didn't meet their requirements? I'm sure you boycotted that movie because you are all so moral. You would never play a game like Gears of War where you shove a saw into someone right? Right? ... yeah I thought so - why do you head back to Hypocrisy lane - your mom is calling ya.
Don't worry about Boss Tempo, he is just upset that he could never get a steady career going in the Sims so he couldn't decorate his house. Now he is going to miss out on his chance again because he is sitting on his couch waiting for the Halo 3 beta to begin (how else can you explain his posting to PS3 news instead of playing his 360?)
What is wrong with offending people? Personally I think offending people's ideas is proof that we live in a free society because that means we have differing views. The mere discussion of games that simulate sex probably offends a lot of people - does that mean we should ban them outright? I won't play them but I'm sure there is a market for it.
btw - offending something in my books is okay - discrimination, racism and bigotry is something else that should not be tolerated. Personally, I thought the comment was funny.

Have you played Motorstorm? I'm completely hooked on it still - probably the best racing game I've played since Burnout 4. Maybe racing isn't your thing.
What about VF5 or Tekken 5 DR? Both great fighting games for different reasons.
As for RFOM, it was the first FPS that I was finally able to play all the way through and I enjoyed it. I barely made it through Halo 1 and I quit Halo 2 about 1/3 of the way through - too simple and the story was in 1 was different but #2 was the same old thing. I grew up playing Wolfenstein and Rise of the Triad so my FPS roots are in the PC I must admit so it's hard for me to give Console FPSs a fair shake.

Really? You couldn't think of one? I think you should read less online reviews and rent more games on both systems to see the pros/cons yourself. I think each game has their strengths and weaknesses - although up to date they are small for the multi-platform games. I just thought that your absolute statement was fairly "strong" ;)
I have to say that I tend to lean towards ATI on any given sunday but I have owned my share of Nvidia cards - I think I agree with #52 rational and non-frothing view. ;)

Snakeball, Super Stardust HD en route to PSN
Apr 26th 2007 6:31PM (Joystiq)Gears of War COG tag videos are the new horse armor
Apr 26th 2007 6:12PM (Joystiq)If they didn't, we wouldn't be seeing things like overpriced horse armor, expensive guitar hero song packs and now this.
If they really didn't want it, they wouldn't buy it. Simple really.
PlayStation 3 Home Beta invites sent out (we didn't get one either)
