Just to correct this article, the 15th was the deadline to register at http://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/ to receive a closed beta application. The beta applications have not been sent out yet but probably will be in the next few days.

Just wanted to clarify things so people don't get confused. l2read pls ;)

Also @ kasapina, those emails were to inform old APB players that hadn't signed up at GamersFirst yet that if they want a chance to enter the closed beta for APB Reloaded they needed to register their email here http://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/

1. APB isn't a first person shooter.

Actually the open beta should be out very soon. Think they will send out more closed beta keys soon and then after that it will be open beta. They had pretty much all the bugs and glitches fixed before the first phases was done.

The problem is, as much as I hate cash shops and micro transactions....that is the future for MMOs. Apparently game studios love nickle and diming you so much that in the next 10-20 years EVERYBODY will be doing it. Sure it takes more money out of our pockets but it puts a lot more into their pockets and gives them more motivation to put out new content. Even EQII is going the f2p way but if you want more you have to buy it.
