Tried the demo. It scratched that itch so I'm going to plunk down the $10.

I was able to use my Xbox 360 controller with no problem so that's a bonus

I've been crying for devs to keep making games in this genre so I'll probably plunk down the $10 even if the game is best thing ever. The bar has been set pretty low this gen so as long as I can aim and shoot...

I've played the Colony Wars series but no longer have any Playstation consoles. That would be a great arcade re-release.

I'm so hard up I resorted to playing Project Sylpheed and Darkstar One on the 360!

I'm not sure Jumpgate Evolution is even going to come out either...

I know the genre is all but dead but please, please let there be a space-flight game set in the Mass Effect Universe ala FreeSpace, Wing Commander, etc...

Considering I played through Witcher 2 with an Xbox controller I'm guessing it will be OK. Plus I think they added a real combat tutorial at the beginning of the game.

I might rent this and play through the other faction's story line...

Hmm 2-3 days? I put about 20hrs in and I only did a couple extra side mission outside of the introductory ones. I think it's a good length with a great quality/fun/value ratio per hour. But then again I wasn't expecting it to be Skyrim with 100+ hours of gameplay....

No. There is also voice recognition, facial recognition components that can be used in front of a computer.
