GameStop holding midnight launch events for PlayStation Move

Sep 16th 2010 8:14PM (Joystiq)
Oh... PS Move comes out tomorrow? Meh...

Kinect now playable at Microsoft Stores nationwide -- all four of them

Jun 24th 2010 6:49PM (Engadget)
At first I thought the 4 stores thing was exaggerated, then I read the list of stores... oh, that's sad.

I'm in Phoenix, though, so it looks like I'll be going to Scottsdale this weekend.

NEEEEEED!!! Not for me however, for my "in desperate need of an upgrade" wife.

Winscape virtual window features Wiimote headtracking, absolutely made of win

@MoonWalkerCTE That's the first thing I thought! It would be really cool with a wall mounted TV. If the Xbox was more quiet, I would just leave it on all the time. It could be like a screensaver, then a simple voice command, gesture, or turning on a controller would switch to the main Xbox menu.

Barnes & Noble Nook seen lying in wait at Best Buy

Apr 8th 2010 4:50PM (Engadget)
One of my wife's rich friends got all of her kids Nooks (4 or 5 of them, I think). They never use them. It's not because of the hardware, however, nothing they want to read is available. It's hard to imagine not being able to find a single book in the B&N catalog, but apparently everything they want is available on the Kindle.

I think this is just too late to the game.

iSuppli pegs iPad component costs at as little as $259.60

Apr 7th 2010 10:32AM (Engadget)
@SolidSnake It's all part of their plan to make consumers think "I could buy that, but for only $100 more I can get the better one! Then, for only $100 more than that, I can get the bigger one!" Which is also the same reason why there's no USB or SD. Make the consumer buy a new one to upgrade anything.

@Funderful You not serious, are you? The R&D for this thing was probably a fraction of what went in to the iPhone & iPod Touch.

I would have loved to see the inside as just an iPhone hooked up to a bigger screen and battery.

Sharp details new 3D screens for mobile devices

My wife's friend was a preemie and has a lazy eye also. She can see out of both eyes, but never at the same time. She had some kind of surgery to try and fix it, but was only partially successful. Sometimes she can see out of both eyes, sometimes just one.

She was a little freaked out the first time both eyes worked at the same time. She said that she was looking at one of those body wash poofs, and it suddenly seemed to pop out at her!

Xbox 360 gaining USB storage support in 2010 update

Mar 18th 2010 2:22PM (Joystiq)
All I really care about is being able to take my Gamertag with me to a friend's console and not having to go through the recovery process there and back at home. I'm not about to purchase a MU just for that convenience, but I have plenty of USB drives sitting around.
