This is such crap. They're still making a lot of profit, but because of some one-time economic event they're cutting jobs and games and crippling themselves in the long-term? What, just so they can meet some stupid executive's Excel graph for the next quarter based off a pathetically limited mathematical model (because the executive could not understand anything more complex) that doesn't take into account external events?

So much for getting VC3 in the US.

Not to mention getting totally boned by EA's decision to force multiplayer into the game.

You either have your little Mass Warfare matches for the length of time EA's marketing department decided you will, or get the bad ending. As in "you might want to look at that cough", not the one with the UFO.

What's with the Felicia Day hatorade? I hadn't ever heard of her before Fallout: New Vegas but I was impressed with her voice acting in that game, even if her character was certainly no Craig Boone. Still haven't heard a word she's said outside of the context of the Mojave wasteland.

Jennifer Hale is still my favorite voice actress, but Felicia Day certainly beat Liara voice acting Lightning in the tunnel simulator FF13.

So apparently I should've pirated VC2 instead of buying it at full retail to support Sega. Thanks, Sega!

Anyway, they don't need to do a full localization. Just translate the UI (already done with strings from VC2) and subtitle the Japanese voice acting in some vaguely understandable Engrish. Feed it through Google Translate, whatever. You don't have to dub everything...

What was wrong with the default femshep? Those look like a bunch of angry goth chicks with too much eyeliner and non-regulation hair.

Femshep's voice coming from any of these would just sound ... wrong. And it sure as hell ain't the fault of the voice acting.

Well, at least I can guarantee Anders won't be visiting any islands in anything importing my DA2 savegame.

@eatmyasia Depends on how you play. Meer sounds a lot better delivering Renegade one-liners than he does Paragon. Hale's much more articulate pretty much all the time but a female voice does not really sound as aggressive delivering Renegade lines.

So if you're Shep's eyes glowed red you were probably less impressed. Plus, you can make maleshep look like the Terminator, and femshep just looks like an angry Gillian Anderson no matter what you do.

Mass Effect would probably be a more popular series with femshep as the default character, for the simple reason of Jennifer's Hale's voice acting.
