@Rezai Horrible loading times, from what I've heard.

Anyone know if GAME are doing Midnight openings for Mass Effect 3? I really wish Joystiq would post more articles on my favorite retail chain.

MotorStorm RC free for a limited time on Vita in the US (thanks Toyota!)

Can you confirm that the PS3 version unlocks if you download the (free) Vita version? I don't see any mention of this on the PS Blog - just that the Ps3 version will also release tomorrow, for $9.99.

@shoan Take into consideration that the 3G is very limited in what it actually does on the Vita. You can't play online (with a few exceptions, limited to turn-based games like Hustle Kings) and you can browse the Playstation Store, but you won't be able to download Vita games or even demos. It's possible to download the smaller Minis, but that will eat into your monthly download limited.
You'll be able to use the (very impressive) Facebook app, Twitter and use the (not so excellent) web browser, and you'll have always-on access to Near, which is actually a pretty cool app that connects you with other Vita players in a 2m radius - but all those things work perfectly well with Wi-Fi too, provided you are near a hotspot or your home network.
It really comes down to whether or not you want to spend $50 (and $15-$30 per month) to have an always-on connection to the PSN, wherever you are. If you really need to be able to update your trophies, message friends and check online leaderboards everywhere you go, perhaps the 3G version is for you, but I think for most people the Wi-Fi version is more than adequate. Personally, I'd use that $50 to buy a game instead, and the $15 per month on some downloadable games (like the excellent Escape Plan or Mutant Blobs Attack!)

@Comet 20 I had the exact same reaction when I unboxed my Vita and held if for the first time.
20 minutes later, it felt perfectly natural. I think it's purely a case of getting used to a new piece of hardware. Yes, the buttons are pretty small (and I have huge, sausage fingers) but it's really not an issue after you've been playing for a short while.
Demo units in stores aren't really a good way of getting an accurate impression of either hardware or software. If you have a friend who has already taken the plunge, see if you can get some quality time with their Vita - your opinion may soften about the control layout.

@Kevadu They're on at the same time?
Bad call Sony. Especially with Project DIVA 3rd already announced for Vita.

This is primarily aimed at the Japanese market (the title alone should give that away) so I imagine it'll be comprised mainly of impenetrable JRPGs, rape simulators and taiko-based rhythm action titles.
And, just maybe, Monster Hunter???

Hey, I used to live right around the corner from that bus stop. There's a fantastic 24hr pancake place right opposite.

The game looks quite nice, too.
