Original iPads still selling well

And I got it in store - just ask the rep if they will honor the web price.

Original iPads still selling well

I opted for the 64GB+3G from AT&T. That price was just way too low not to jump on.

I opened this app to show my wife yesterday during the Super Bowl after the ad ran. Within 15 seconds she said, "You're not selling me on this by what I've seen." My brother (an iPad owner as well) was watching and said the carousel was so laggy. Less than a minute later I knew I had lost them. Closed the app. Back to game.

The ability to block sections you don't want (which would decrease the download size of new issues) would be a plus, but the load time... crazy long. Wish it could download in the background at night somehow.

Buy individual iWork, iLife apps from the Mac App Store

Jan 6th 2011 10:32AM (TUAW.com)
There has also never been away to purchase iLife or iWork applications per app on OSX, so I doubt Apple would release iWork '11 next week and screw over early adopters of the App Store.

MobileMe may be Apple's least "green" product, packaging-wise

I want MobileMe free as well, but to say it is not worth it is incorrect. So many people happily pay for it - including me.

MobileMe may be Apple's least "green" product, packaging-wise

Oct 29th 2010 11:35AM (TUAW.com)
This is ridiculous. The same reason not all Apple orders are handled online, is the reason MobileMe is sold in stores - some people like to have something physical. It also equals more sales in store when people are picking up an iDevice or Mac.

The reason it has the same footprint as all the software mentioned: it's cheaper & greener to keep the same footprint for manufacturing purposes.

The .Mac I bought was thicker & bigger than the MobileMe packaging of today. Maybe the one you got had the same footprint.

Yes, Apple wants to be as green as possible, while also delivering what customers want. They are a business first, so you know what will trump being green? Profits.
