Blizzard already talking about post-Pandaria WoW expansions

Mar 23rd 2012 3:40PM (Massively)
@Xei The pandas have been around since Warcraft 3, so it's a bit late to complain about them only now.

Mists of Pandaria tries to breathe new life into an old World of Warcraft

@Kaizan

You say you've played Warcraft since before you played WoW, so I assume that you're familiar with Vanilla WoW.

You say that you like the "big bad" gimmick; did you think that Vanilla WoW suffered from lack of a major "big bad" too?

@Traptz The Pandaren didn't ruin Warcraft III; they're not going to ruin WoW.

Silicon Knights/Epic lawsuit turns in Epic's favor, reveals past SK projects including King's Quest

Some of the puzzles in Eternal Darkness reminded me of adventure games like King's Quest, I guess. But I'm as relieved as anybody that whatever they were planning on doing with that series didn't have the chance to flop.

What really saddens me about this whole thing is that Eternal Darkness is still in limbo, and not likely to ever get out of limbo.

Nintendo: 3DS likely to outperform DS's first-year sales in US

The DS didn't take a huge price cut in its first few months, did it?

That the 3DS outsells the DS isn't that big an achievement in light of that price cut. At best it's a disaster averted.

@Undulation Was Legacy of Kain a Nintendo exclusive?

Or even just on a Nintendo console?

Nintendo predicts first annual loss since getting on with Donkey Kong

@A Sandwich Nintendo is to this gen as Sony was to last gen, in my opinion.

Not a perfect analogy, of course, since the Wii and the PS2 didn't enjoy the exact same level of success... but what Nintendo is doing now reminds me quite a bit of what Sony was doing five or six years ago.

Five years ago, Nintendo kicked Sony's ass; I wonder who is going to kick Nintendo's ass...

Apple, I'd guess.

Nintendo expected to announce greater loss than forecast for first half of year

@blahblah55 Funny you should mention the Virtual Boy and the headaches, because that's my complaint about the 3DS too.

It pains me to admit the possibility that the 3DS may be the second incarnation of the Virtual Boy...

@Nevarky Mario, Zelda, and Metroid aren't what they used to be; one could cogently argue that we've already lost them.

I challenge everyone reading this to name a better Mario game than Super Mario 3 for the NES, and explain how it compares favorably.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria sets a new direction for Blizzard's first MMO

@TheRedComet It's not for the first time... WoW Vanilla didn't have a main villain comparable to BC's Illidan, WotLK's Arthas, or Cata's Deathwing either.
